Introduction: the traditional school buildings ushered in new opportunities and challenges under the tide of new technological revolution, in order to better adapt and even lead the future. School buildings should closely follow the development trend of educational philosophy, based on education, education, service education and reshaping education. How to build a green + campus under the influence of the concept of natural health?


Tian you design has been exploring for many years in the green campus. At present, there are 12 national green building three-star schools and 9 national green building two star schools. We believe that the "future campus" should embody four characteristics: dark green, space sense, refinement and experience.

That is to say, a green campus from the perspective of design, a problem oriented fine campus, and an eco campus with product perspective.

Green campus from design perspective


How to design green campus? We believe that the following two aspects should be included:



Design strategy:

Technology, art and arithmetic.

Green, low carbon and ecological


According to the different location of the school and the different climate characteristics of the project, the design strategies are different. In the architectural design process of the primary and secondary schools in Longhu Science Park, we are based on the climate characteristics of Tianjin. Mainly through natural lighting and building shading to enrich the space design and architectural form design of the building.

The technical system of green campus will vary according to the municipal conditions and physical characteristics of the project. Take Beijing normal university student state town affiliated school as an example. The technical system of the project is characterized by energy system and structural form.

Beijing normal university student state town affiliated school is a twelve year consistent school building consisting of primary school, junior high school and senior high school. The project is adopted in the design of energy system. Ground source heat pump system as a project cold and heat source (solar energy hot water system solar collector) for underground heating, ensure cold and heat balance; cold and heat source unit control (primary school, junior high school, high school).


The indoor terminal is mainly composed of two forms, namely, the whole air system and the floor radiant cooling, heating and fresh air system, and realizes the independent control at the end.

The base isolation technology is adopted in the structural system of Beijing normal university student state town affiliated school. The technology is a new technology popularized in the world's earthquake engineering field.


The use of base isolation technology makes it impossible for buildings to collapse in earthquakes, and it is also one of the few basic forms of earthquake resistance used in school buildings. The seismic strength is greatly improved compared with traditional buildings, and the safety of students is guaranteed.

Problem oriented fine campus


Tianyu design will be divided into ten aspects: general classroom, corridor space, public space, educational block, staircase space, playground, playground, lecture hall, library and shuttle space.

We think public space can. Enrich the level of space in the campus. The diversification of teaching functions should be realized to meet different teaching functional requirements.

Educational block


Educational blocks can effectively link the different teaching function spaces in the campus, run through the overall planning and layout of the whole campus, and set up different second classroom teaching space combined with space nodes, so that the original corridor type contact becomes more three-dimensional.


Educational blocks can adapt to the diversified teaching needs in the future, and meet different teaching functions such as transportation, evacuation, assembly, exhibition, teaching and communication. Truly reflect the concept of learning anywhere and anytime.

We believe that in the green + school, the library should be the learning center of the campus and the place for students to learn independently. We advocate multi-functional and relaxed and comfortable architectural design.

Playground stands combined with architectural space and landscape design. It can increase the interest of the stands and improve the utilization rate of stands.

Shuttle space


Traffic congestion caused by the transfer of primary and secondary schools is a common social problem. In order to solve this problem, Tianyu design has formulated 4 versions of the solution according to the proportion of transportation between schools and schools.


Taking Beijing normal university student state town affiliated school as an example, in order to solve the school traffic problem, we have tried a brand-new traffic organization system, designed to draw lessons from the station and airport connection mode. Under the overhead playground, a delivery station bus feeder is set up. The transfer of vehicles into schools, the formation of a linear parking bay within the school, and the establishment of special parking garage for parents of students, to solve the problem of congestion in school time.

Product oriented eco Campus


After a lot of project practice and in-depth study of green campus and future campus, Tian you design concludes eight themes of green + campus. Urban farm practice classroom , sponge landscape, vertical greening, recycling building materials, photovoltaic corridor, healthy classroom, Sunshine School and assembly campus.

The State Council has made it clear that the labor education should be included in the curriculum plan for large, medium and primary schools. How to use the school space to build a labor education base and cultivate children's innovative ability and practical ability has become the top priority of the current school construction.

The PV corridor uses silicon based thin film solar panels, and the color film photovoltaic corridor has good transparency.
